Anyone else sick and tired of seeing the entire student populations body every day after about March 15th? Yes I said March 15th. I remember we had a 65 degree weather break only two weeks after a snow storm that got us out of school for a day. Apparently that short weather break gave everyone in the world the go ahead to wear the shortest of the booty shorts.
This poses a question to me. Where are your parents? Why are they letting you out of the house wearing the crap you wear? No one in your house found it inappropriate that I can see the bottom of your butt?
I also have a bone to pick with the newest fad, leggings. THEY ARE NOT PANTS, NOT PANTS AT ALL, NOT EVEN CLOSE! They are spandex and elastic. I can see every single inch of every crevice of your body and thats disgusting! Every day I see at least 20 people a period change wearing leggings. Its perfectly okay if you at least make an ATTEMPT to cover your butt with a dress or a skirt, but whats all this of HEY heres a t shirt and uhm....wow where'd my jeans go? Oh well theres this pair of leggings from pratice....SURE WHY NOT. What I hate even more than leggings is....WHITE LEGGINGS. Hey,...nice underwear? Thanks for showing me? No!
I have been guilty of wearing short shorts sure but thats when the weather calls for it like when its 90? Not 65 degrees,...two weeks after a snow storm. Not to mention IT IS SPRING PEOPLE. Spring, spring, spring, spring, NOT SUMMER.
Put it away.

You look like Chuckys mom
Im really tired of standing in the lunch line with friends,(which I do solely to stand with them, I pack my lunch), and being treated like I'm 5 years old. I understand the "Well then be more mature and we'll treat you better". Okay so that being relevant, if you teachers as a whole are punished because Oh I dont know one teacher broke the soda machine. Say now you are all heavily monitered whenever you go anywhere near the soda machine, gonna get annoying real quick isnt it? Now we're lined up in two's by K. Miller(who I'm sure your all familiar with). It's pretty much like "Let me hold your hand and walk you to the line, in case you forgot" I dont know if this is done in every lunch period, but in my senior class it is. So stand with your buddy! Dont get out of line! Youll be punished!
Number one, she touches me and there will be problems. let us get our lunch and leave.us.alone. Whats so special about the number two anyway? We all know another month or two into school and you'll give up on this whole schmeal, soooo don't waste your time.
Number two, I dont care if people are standing out of the line, you dont need to freak out. This is supposed to be relaxation time, let us relax. If we want a little time where we can slouch and stand lazily let us! If you send someone to the back of the line who, is diabetic just because they stood out of line and they pass out from low blood sugar, then who's problem is it KCSD? :D, yours.
Number three, If you go into line with two friends that makes three of you. Which means you suddenly don't have a "buddy" to stand with. Which puts you in a few sticky situations, one you have to stand with a possible stranger or the local stinky kid. And you offset the pattern of "buddies" and put everyone else with other people that they don't like. Is it really worth the effort?
Lastly just let us stand there was not that much trouble last year. Even my fifth grade students(via internship) don't have to stand with a "buddy" in the lunch line. How are you preparing us for life by making us stand with buddies, do you teachers do that? Or anyone else in the world of adults. I didnt think so.
K so, let us be freeeeeeeeeeeee =DDDD
You'll be much happier doll, and as a whole so will we

APA formatting
With the Christmas vacation coming I cant think of a better way to spend the holidays than shopping =] buuuuuuut that's not what I'll be doing haha. I will have to spend a large sum of time writing a paper for Mrs.Mayes class. Now I don't mind writing the paper I actually like papers its the gay formatting I hate. APA & MLA. All these stupid rules apply. I feel like Hitlers standing behind me while I write. MARGINS ONE INCH FROM ALL SIDES! DON'T YOU FORGET DOUBLE SPACE. HAIL HITLER! Its that intense. Here's just a few that press my buttons the wrong way.
Margins-1 inch from each side.
Abstract- A beginning summary
Title in right hand corner- Explains itself
Must be typed- see other blog entry.
First of all the whole margin thing is severely overrated. I mean come on. Would you notice if the margins were 1 1/8 inch instead of 1 inch? And if so would you fail for it. Seriously? If you spend your life deciding how far margins go from the sides, kill yourself.
And the whole abstract thing? Are you really that lazy you can't read the title and see what its about? You really need a summary to tell you what abortion or death penalty is. That's even lazier than me.
Right hand corner title? What why? If you forgot the title after reading the first page you shouldn't be grading papers in the first place. Take a nap or something.
And now in the year 2008 almost 2009 everyone expects everyone to have a computer with Microsoft word and a printer. I myself have only had notepad for a long time and it's printing abilities are pretty awquard. And there is a website where you can get word for 80 bucks I guess? But that's still a lot of money if you think about it. For a family that barely scraps by that's the cable bill or the grocery cart full of necessary supplies. If your that non apathetic to the poor you don't deserve to teach children.
So to sum it up APA doesn't really mean American Psychological Association it means Annual Pain in YOUR @$$.
=] Thank you and goodnight.

-Snort snort-
God did you ever eat too fast and get a stomach ache? That's one of the wondrous joys of CMHS. Here at CMHS we're known as the home of the wildcats, but we ought to be known as the home of the wild hogs. Because that's might as well what it should be. A bunch of starving pigs lined up along a hallway curling all the way back to the bathrooms cavorting around waiting to get fed. And by the time we reach the front of the line, take note here comes the pig part again, we have to stuff our food in our mouth like we may never eat again. But can you blame us?
First of all I have a big problem with the prices of things. If I end up paying 1.50 just for fries I better get to eat them and I want to enjoy them, not hork them down like I'm on an eating binge. Or how about milk, what is it 40-45 cents now? I remember when a milk ticket was 15 cents. And half the time the milks not even cold! Who enjoys drinking warm milk? Not me. Or how about a hamburger, it's 2.00. Just for a hamburger! So if you want a hamburger, fries, and milk for lunch there goes almost 4 dollars out of your pocket.
The second problem is the selection. Now I actually don't have a complaint particularly about the selection per se just the ingredients. If I were to say anything good about the school it'd definitely be the choices. See the problem is e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g is made from wheat. If they make it, wheats in it. And all the good chips are gone too. I understand this "childhood obesity childhood obesity blah blah blah" rant but no ones shoving the food down our throats. We want to eat it theres no one forcing us to. If they really want to keep us all from being fat then gym shouldn't be an elective our senior year.
I love how we have time for 50 minutes of class but we dont have time for 45 minutes of lunch. That my friend puts me in all sorts of bad moods.
Thank you everyone who comments. I really appreciate all the praise I get on this blog. I just might continue, if I can get over the fact everyone thinks bloggers have no life =p.

Your grading whaaaaaat?
Yeah, so I was told in Mrs. Mayes class that science PSSA's are being counted this year. Pardon how juvenile this may sound but, Are you serious? Are you genuinely serious? Not just counted, but you MUST pass to graduate. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!
My first issue is what exactly is on those things anyway? How would you even study for it? What classifies as science right now. I mean off the top of my head I can think of : Biology, Principles of Technology, Physics, feel free to add to the list but that's what I got. So your telling me to pass these things we have to dig all the way back in our stress packed mind to 9th grade? Stamp an F on mine now because I barely remember the difference between a niche and a dome. Is it based on everything from alchemy to zoonomy?(This is real believe it or not, I googled it. Why yes I did put some effort into this thank you for noticing.) Or is it just a specific chunk? What is it!?
And what I wanna know is why we just HAVE to pass the science PSSA to graduate. How often do you use science in the real world anyway. Unless of course you're in the science field but lets exclude that for now. Of course you have to know math for just about everything from your Mickey D's cashier to a brain surgeon and english to communicate with at least half a brain. But when are you gonna need to whip out Newtons 1st law or how Mitosis and Meosis happen? Maybe if your in New York and get stopped in the Cash Cab but other than that I cant think of any reason someone would just demand you tell them the skeletal structure of mammals.
So Mrs. Mayes I hope you like having me in your class because I have a feeling I'll be stuck in this hole a while longer than I suspected originally.
Questions? Additions? Comments?

This is absolutely unacceptable!
Gahhh! Ever hear this line from a teacher "This is absolutely unacceptable". I find it funny they can't just say, "you can't turn this in" rather than it being absolutely positively unacceptable. Two more bb gun pellets in your self esteem. Anyway, they say it about things sometimes that are completely out of your control. For instance typing a paper. I have had this issue since 6th grade. I myself don't have a printer. So this is a huge issue.
Some of us don't have the salary to afford a printer to print a paper. But oh "We can go to the library!". Yeah when? First of all you have to get a pass to go to the library? Uhm,..what? You need a pass to get in, like its a VIP room or something. And these passes are handed out in the morning. Yeah we really have the time between being crowded in two spaces and rushing to our lockers before bell. And what chances do you have to go anyway? Monday and Friday are reading, and Wednesday is a club day. Leaving Tuesday and Thursday solely. But what if you have a test to make up? A book to read for another class? An issue that needs taken care of at guidance? Something you just need to get done. Too bad, type your paper missy girl!

Just that kinda teacher
Did you ever have a teacher that insists your not paying attention just because you don't get something? One of those situations that plays out kinda like this:
Student: I really don't get (i.e graphing) how to graph this problem.
Teacher: Maybe if you payed attention you'd know
-Beep- Stop right there, I know thats an automatic response to think when someone doesn't get something that they're not paying attention but sometimes they need to stop and look. Some students have notes taken and at least try to do all problems but its just not clicking in their head. But because you need a little bit of extra help your not paying attention?
Then they get mad when you get mad
Heh
